How do people treat you after they learn you are gifted?
People don’t treat me any different, if anything, they treat me worse. My 'friend' used to make fun at the fact that I didn't talk properly and I'm crap at sports, so I foolishly fought that he would understand/feel sorry for me. I was wrong. It's almost like he's glade that he has another reason to insult me.

He is GATE qualified but I don't think his composite IQ is officially gifted - high, but not over 140. The low scoring components pull a pretty heavy drag on it.

There's no one set number for giftedness; depends on local decisions as to the cutoff. It's usually around 120-25, so if your son is anywhere near 149, he's highly gifted.
