Well I'm pretty sure I've lost my last remaining friend, so I'm feeling pretty down at the moment. My friend was the last thing I had that was keeping me sane. Now I have nothing. Great.

Ironically, watching Friends is keeping me distracted enough so I don't completely fall apart right now.

That sucks.
On the bright side, you have an aswesome username and a cute avatar. For what it's worth.

Why don't you call them and apologize for whatever it is you did, or, if you didn't do anything, start a discussion about what they did?

It's not really anything either of us did, we just kind of drifted apart I guess. Or he got sick of me. He never initiates contact with me anymore and he barely responds to my attempts. And he's bailed on our plans to hang out for the last three weekends. He's moving away sometime in the near future so we probably would have drifted apart anyway, but it still sucks.

i got all in all 3 "irl" friends left, and i got very little contact with them, but i still count them as friends, cus... its been less than a year since i saw them :D

i NEVER contact them tho. EVER, and i commend them for keeping in touch with me, and i feel sh***y about inevitable losing them, cus friendship is a mutual effort.

needless to say, i should make more of an effort

Sorry to hear about your loss of friends. :( Many of us seem to have gone through the same things, and I hope it comforts you to know you're not alone. If it's any consolation, there are many times when people drift in and out of a person's life, and many times those people do care even if one thinks they don't. You may still have people in your life that care, but they may not always communicate on a regular basis. I know I really desire being around people but I sometimes just plain old don't feel like talking or hanging out. But I still care about those people.

I do appreciate how supportive these forums are. Kudos to Samwise for sharing her struggle and to everyone for giving Samwise a lift! :)

Hi Samwise,

I'm sorry that you feel you've lost your friend. That is very much how I feel myself at the moment. I'm slowly coming to the realization that I have drifted far apart from many of the people I once considered friends.

So, I am looking for some new friends, too. If you would like to chat, please PM me. Maybe we can help keep each other sane.

~RJ

That's what's nice about forums like this - the support it can give you. Things can get better, even if it seems that all hope is gone. :D
