who was i kidding? when there was really someone else i already liked. i guess i was just curious. screw the internet, i'll go for this girl i already know even if it means going through her parents. LOL no, not violently, silly! i meant meeting them of course . apparently, her parents are strict people and if she's gonna be hanging with any guys, they'll have to meet them first. even though she's like 19 or 20, as long as she's under her parents' roof, she goes by their rules.

so, whenever i get the chance, i'll talk to her on her cellphone or at her work and possibly arrange for a meeting. i just hope her parents aren't ultra-conservative... i'm not sure how difficult they would be.

If I had a new girlfriend, I would be more nervous about her meeting my parents than I would about meeting hers. I wouldn't say my mom is strict - she just tends to look for reasons not to like people, and always finds an excuse to try and convince me that someone isn't right for me. I mean, she'd be nice to their face I'm sure, but I'm just talking about how she'd react after the meeting.

In the case of meeting a girl's parents, I would agree that being calm and polite is the best way to go.
