I think Homer might have Pica because he sometimes eats things that aren't food and have hurt him or done weird things to him. Like that Halloween Parody of The Blob. When he stuffed that glowing green "marshmallow" into his face I was like "Yep, that proves it, Homer will eat anything". :lol:

I also think "ret*d" is a very offensive and outdated word to describe anyone, including people who have developmental brain damage. :x

Anyway, in one episode it was explained that Homer's odd behavior is due to the fact that as a kid he once inserted a whole pack of crayons up his nose, one at a time, and one of them got stuck up into his brain.

Any of you know that newer episode with Bart's friend who got institutionalized?
He was obsessed with falconry, and his cast with "people he wished were there" included Alan Turning and several Daleks. They say he had paranoid schizophrenia, but even he thinks the diagnostic methods are flawed.
Anyway, he's super autistic. Like it's not even a question.
