I loaded a game I used to run about 5 years ago(it ran for almost 3 years then got shutdown), at the time me and my (now ex-) wife made and ran it,

I have had it up and running now, debugging it, for about a month now,
I made Tons of ASCII arts on this "text" game, and I thought perhaps some of you may like ASCII arts and/or like MUDs (Multi-User-Dungeons)(kinda like AD&D on line), and would like to come check it out and perhaps even stick around and play a little. even if you like, I could use some help working on it building more areas and arts(improving the game,) the game is free to any who would like to come vizit or play it.

you will need this telnet client or the like to enter and enjoy the game, the downloads are small.

This is zmud, you can find more info about it here, including an 30 day trial for the paid version.

this is an older but free version.

once you have the telnet client or Zmud you will need to goto this addy (the telnet client will tell you how and where to add this addy.)
=====================
/Addy:-/
lankhmar.mudmagic.com
Port: 4000
=====================

The MUD is called Aarabela,
But I am remaking the game into Lankhmar and the world of Nehwon based on the Novels of Fritz Leiber.

I am the only one working on this game at this time, so if you do come and check it out I may not be there for I work 8+ hours a day and have 6 children and a loving lady to contend with and share the net with, so you can imagine I at most only get a couple hours a day on the net anymore, but I hope to see a few of you there and to see if you like many of my arts (not all are mine but most are).

===================
BTW,- happy new-years everyone.

Aspergian_Mutant
aka, (on game) DarkStar.

If I've got this right, "ASCII arts" means pictures made from text right? Do I have to download the game to see your ASCII arts?

Nope, just a telnet client so to enter the game with and see things in color.
then you would have to make a game character (its fast and easy, ESP if you don't intend to stay long and play.). if you like you can use your own built in telnet that comes with most windows computer systems, just nothing would be in color that way.

the pictures are made from text yes, even looking like 3D rooms and the like (and thats a challenge to create depth out of txt (buffs his nails with a smile).

also (grins, search for DarkStar or Spicer here. I got known becouse of my arts on that same game.)

zmud721 is 6.5MB. Isn't it, it said it's the latest version.
I'm connected with your mud game, and am choosing skills.
I'm using gmud. Installed size (about 400kbytes).

(edited once I think)
I couldn't connect to the mud, is the server down?
