Oh no you used Dimmu Borgir and black metal in the same sentence! This means many hardcore BM fans will come and say "DIMMU ISN'T BLACK METAL ANYMORE HOMG!"
Technically speaking they're probably right, it's more "symphonic extreme metal" or something, but it's still grand stuff. I adore that band, that song, and the "Death Cult Armageddon" album in general--it's one of my uttermost favorite albums ever.

The Kovenant - "Towards the Crowns of Kings." This is a band that slowly evolved more into industrial/advant-garde metal with only minimal extreme metal elements (they called it "Space metal"), but they're kickass anyway.

I freaking hate Avenged Sevenfold 99% of the time, but this song, "A Little Piece of Heaven," is one of my uttermost favorites--it sounds nothing like their normal stuff, more like a cross between extreme metal and ska or something. Kinda Oingo Boingo inspired. Very long, and this video is VERY VERY GRAPHIC. You have been warned.
