Does anybody here have sleep apnea? I just found out today that mine is severe 1/3 of the night and moderate 2/3 of the night. So, I will need to use a CPap machine. What are other people's experiences with this?

I imagine it would be more uncomfortable for aspies and autists because of our sensory sensitivities.

Did you check your blood pressure? I have it when I eat too much which raises my blood pressure.

I probably have it at least mildly, but I haven't been checked out for it. Sometimes when I'm trying not to fall asleep, and I accidentally do fall asleep, but then quickly snap out of it, I'll kind of gasp for air a tiny bit...but maybe this is normal, just a reaction to the sudden "BAM, wake up"? Because sometimes it'll be kind of an arm or body jerk thing instead, or in addition to.

I'm surprised that so few people are reporting having it. I would have thought there would be more. With mild sleep apnea, there's a dental device people can wear, but with moderate to severe, you need CPap.

I've got to spend the night at the sleep clinic tonight to try out the CPap and get it fitted and on the right settings, etc.

I have very mild sleep apnea. I will stop breathing frequently through out the night however my body will wake itself up . I wake up at least every hour because of this.
