I don't know if Firefox does this, but I stopped using IE(EEEE!!) several years ago, and after reformatting my system after getting stuck with 'cool web search' (but that's another story).

Good to know, tho...

I believe CCleaner cleans this stuff up. Good program, I use it all the time to clear my computer of junk, including keeping my registry tidy.
