Can't install SP3

On an Compaq Desktop wi a Athlon 64 3400+ Processor I can't install Windows XP. When I do like the past two times I tried I get BSOD after the initial restart after installer SP3. The only way I can get back on is if I use a restore point to go back to SP2. Any Help Please!!

That's only if it was a pre-install. If it was a pure clean install, all should be fine. Depends if you get the 7E code though
