Anyone read this book called "The Way of Shadows"? It's about assassins and stuff, and they call assassins "wetboys". So I thought, why not have a name for the assassins in my book? I really find it dumb to call assassins "assassins" you know? And it's too "labely" also.

Can anyone find a name for asassins? Something like wetboy?

What about Japanese names for asassins(although it doesn't HAVE to be japanese)? I thought naming something in japanese would be cool.

Thanks so much.

There are translation dictionaries online that can help you figure out a foreign word for assassins if you'd like. Of course there are also always terms like "cleaner", "fixer", "sweeper", etc. (Someone who clears away a problem...)

For a nice and generic label, call them Reds. (Or Blues, or Greens, or Yellows.)

the 'wet' thang comes from Soviet assasins; killing someone was called 'wet work'.

for japanese translation..
http://www.freedict.com/onldict/onldict.php
or for the etymology of "assassin"
The term 'Assassin' derives from the Persian word Hashshashin (Ar: ?????? \ ????? ????????),[2]a militant Ismailite Persian sect, active in the Northern parts of Iran (Alamut) from the eighth to the fourteenth centuries. This mystic secret society killed members of the Abbasid and Seljuq élite for political and religious reasons.[3]It is commonly believed that the assassins were under the influence of hashish and opium during their killings or during their indoctrination, and that assassinderives from hasishin, the influence of the drugs. However, this is only partly true. At the time of their existence "Hashashins" were people who sold medicine. The region of Alamut was filled with plants rich with natural medicine and many of the residents of that region made a living by selling those plants at Bazaars (Marketplaces) that were called Bazare Hashashin (The medicine market). Due to their advanced medicine during that period, they were able to offer free health care to their citizens. Also many people in Iran would travel to the region of Alamut to get cured for unknown illnesses. The earliest known literary use of the term "assassination" is in The Tragedy of Macbethby William Shakespeare (1605).[4][5]

That's cool. (Even though that particular one sounds kind of gay-pornish to me..) It's a good idea to base names/words/titles on something, even if it's just loosely and never explained. Makes it easier to come up with things that are unique, interesting and un-cliche~
