Wow.

In my experience (USA), I've never seen this. Of course most schools have "ret*d classes" where kids determined to be EDP (emotionally disturbed people) get put. If misconduct is bad enough, a kid could be put in "internal suspension" where you stay in a room with a teacher and do your class assignment cut off from other students.

From my experience schools didn't care much for restraint. They did the bare minimum to keep people under control, and figured out the rest after the situation de-escalated. I answered 'no' on the poll, but only because I've never seen it in a school. I've been secluded in a mental hospital once.

That still doesn't change the fact I've got crippling anxiety from my high school experiences.
