When ever I go driving, afterwards I feel completely drained and tired. Now I have began to suffer from a bad neck, and a shooting pain in throat and more so to the right hand side of my body, as well as pain in my right arm. I suffer from really bad anxiety too. Is this normal to suffer from neck pains during sensory overload? My mother has MS, could it be a symptom of that!?

I would definitely go to the doctor to rule out anything like MS. But yes, I think sensory overload can cause physical pain. When you are anxious and overstimulated you can tighten up your muscles especially in the neck area. And many people carry stress in the neck region, that is extremely common. I have big problems with that. Gentle and careful massages and stretches can give you lots of relief. You may want to go to a professional masseuse if you don't know how to massage and stretch your neck because it is a very delicate area and you don't want to injure it. But you can certainly have pain there from the stress of sensory overload. And you are probably driving with tight shoulders and a tight grip on the wheel. That will definitely drain you and stress the neck region.

Stress even though you don't believe you are stressed causes muscular tension. I have suffered from this from an early age and with me it causes migraine, neck pain and nausea.
I have found placing my neck and upper back directly on a vibration exercise plate will usually relieve the pain along with aspirin.

You should check with your doctor first in case there may be a specific cause with you.

I agree with the muscle tension, especially while driving. Try to remember to physically release your back and shoulders, and to breath deeply, in order to decrease tension. It's hard to do this at first, and you probably won't even realize you're all hunched up until you figure out how it feels when released. Try to do some slow stretching before and after as well.
As someone with a history of an M.S. diagnosis that turned out to be Late Stage Neurological Lyme Disease, I would stay aware of any muscle/nerve issues you have, and any other strange seemingly unrelated unexplained symptoms, but I wouldn't take one or two doctor's advice as the final damning word. Many, many people get diagnosed with M.S. and it's actually Lyme. Unfortunately most doctors don't recognize it, and it goes undetected. I only say all this because I can't bear to think of other people having to go through what I went through, when it doesn't have to be that way. I am not a doctor, but this is my experience.
This is a link on a documentary about Lyme Disease. It is very eye opening, and worth watching even just to increase your awareness for yourself and those that you love. They talk about specifically about M.S., Parkinson's, ALS, and Alzheimer's. This documentary, and the doctor that gave it to me, saved my life, after fifteen years of misdiagnosis. I hope I am not overstepping.

Thank you for posting this video. It is super important info. And ticks are bad this year from all the rain we have had.

For me stress (physical or mental) = tight neck muscles --> migraine.

Long drives can give me headaches. If you're driving for a long time try to take breaks - stop, get out of the car for 10 minutes, walk around and stretch your neck.

I forgot to add, I apply Tiger Balm to my neck and temples which seems to help too.
