You're trying and that's as good as anything. I know I have a very hard time getting up ambition to make any big life changes. I said I wasn't a promoter for the cold turkey method. But for some I'm sure it is the better bet. I like the idea of meeting in the middle. Cut back awhile to a modest amou... |

Never really thought much on it, but I'd have to say I learned at least as much on my own as from a classroom. I was, and still am, that kid that read the entire series of encyclopedias just for fun. I'll never forget when we were asked to research and write a one page report on how microwave ovens ... |

Social anxiety was the usual suspect. After I had access to what seemed to be the bible of all psychological disorders I had other notions. This sucker was thick as a brick and I gobbled it all up from front to back. Figures, doesn't it? Anyways, schizotypal at first. Later schizoid. I feel in my he... |

I'm about the same. I've gotten better in some respects, maybe worse in others (short-term memory). I know a lot of people have problems with memory when they get older but I'm only 25 and I can't remember what I did 5 minutes ago. I still have an excellent long-term memory though. That definitely ... |

Drugs and alcohol. Can't recommend it though. Stick with that sort of withdrawl. |

That's the ultimate question that keeps popping up and you owe it to yourself to answer. Were you happy in the relationship leading up to this. You have a right to happiness as much as anyone. She broke the tenets of your marriage, not you. Being a poor husband is one thing, adultery another. But yo... |

Hmmm. I suppose I'm drawn to that time because life was more simple. All I generally had to worry about was dealing with boredom most days. There's so many things to worry about now it makes me sick. Going back to 18 and making some changes would be a close second. |

My ex was like that, making me out to always be the villain, making me be the one to always apologize. Don't stand for it. Don't be a doormat. Remember: She was the one that was unfaithful. She's the villain here, not you. Don't let her turn it all around to be all your fault. I'm inclined to agree ... |

Seems to be with me. But there's a lot more stress in my life than there was back when I was younger. Marriage, moving, employment, etc.
What I wouldn't give to be 8 again. |

Even up to around the age of 24 my driver's license alone wouldn't suffice to buy cigs. I'd occassionally find myself having to quote my social security number to them, lol. Naturally that wasn't a problem to remember. The problem is knowing the complete card numbers and security codes to 2 credit c... |

There is another aspect to consider. I don't want to sound presumptuous. But I feel like, for the majority of women, that sex isn't the first motivation for continuing an affair. I would bet that it was something less tangible than a roll in the hay she was searching for. Whether it be simply the at... |

From all I understand about AS, betrayal hurts us worse than it otherwise might. I mean, the trait about us having a tendency to be honest to a fault and having difficulty deceiving others. That's me. But on the flip side, being betrayed is one of the worst things imaginable to me. Especially being ... |

I'm inclined to agree with you on the card idea. I'll still let it sit on backburner though just for kicks. There won't be any "opportune moments" to actually talk to him about it. I quit the job. Other than the stress of knowing I will need to find new employment in the near future I couldn't be ha... |

Forgot something. The most unusual thing I ever did (and still occassionaly find myself doing) is taking both my hands and laying them palm down, flat, on my thighs. Then I'd rub 'em up and down for a few seconds. I generally did this after I got excited playing a game or something. If my parents (o... |

I do or have done just about all the things people have listed so far. I never considered it to be part of any condition other than my personality I guess. My most common thing is tapping my fingers either in the air, on myself, or on something. I always did notice it seemed I could tap faster and w... |
