I have OCD for sure.. Well, nothing's for sure when you have ocd, but I'm like 99% sure. Most of my compulsions are googling things, reading, checking to make sure I didn't drop something, checking to see if I ran someone over, and reassurance seeking from everyone, so now all my friends are pretty ...

Heh weird.. I'm in the same boat. I was diagnosed with BPD in 2014 too, and now looking like I'm getting the ASD diagnosis instead. I became so obsessed with not feeling like I fit the BPD label that I was diagnosed with OCD... which made more sense to me than BPD. So maybe you're similar? Sounds li...

I was diagnosed with both when I was suffering from a psychotic depression. The borderline symptoms gradually got better as my depression improved. I still had some of the borderline symptoms years after I quit seeing psychs & taking meds till I started medication for specially for my anxiety &...

Well I am still in the testing phase for ASD so who knows, but my dr expressed concern about distinguishing between OCD or ASD or both for me. As for other possible diagnoses, I'm betting personality disorders might look like ASD, such as Schizoid or Avoidant.

I'm really not actively dating. I try and I fail multiple times. If me being trans doesn't deter them (which is usually does), then my social awkwardness does. Or my lack of emotional responsiveness. And I detest touching and sex because of sensory issues. That's mostly what I was getting at. Also, ...

I posted on the dating forum but I think it's more relevant here... I'm genderqueer and autistic and dating seems like a major headache, which I normally just stay away from, but sometimes i get lonely. Anyone relate? Have any success stories?

I've made a post similar to this before, but am wondering if anyone on the spectrum with OCD feels it's related to their special interest at all? My special interest has always been psychology, for example, but now it's definitely unhealthy and I'm constantly searching online my "symptoms"...

Diagnostic labels are really just to describe a constellation of symptoms that fit with how others have described their experiences. So I think it makes sense that people aren't going to fit neatly in one category or another at times. For me, I have symptoms from many disorders, especially anxiety o...

I have anxiety symptoms from basically all anxiety disorders and it scares me.... I avoid places that give me anxiety or meltdowns, I get a lot of anxiety talking to strangers and public speaking (near panic), I excessively worry and think back to my past and try to figure out if I'm a bad person, I...

Well the good news is you won't have to disclose your dx to anyone if you don't want to. I've been dx with bpd before, wrongfully so, but it does have a lot of stigma. But the stigma is bigger than reality in most cases. Personal I think bpd is not worse than the other personality disorders. As long...
