I think its a cycle. Being different makes you angry (bc nobody understands you, nobody agrees with your perspective, people make fun of you, etc). Then you have to repress that anger, which is not healthy and makes your more different. |

| there is a post very similar to this one about confrontation anxiety. I know the feeling of stress overwhelming you. Then reacting in a way society finds unacceptable. one thing that helped me (when nothing was helping me get a grip on my emotions) was getting on an antipsychotic. I got intense emot... |

I am confident, esp. bc you are female, that there is a male who would welcome a relationship with you. So it's really wanting to be in a relationship with someone you find acceptable. You don't have to be alone, but how much do you have to lower your standards? |

| The tough thing about asd is that you don't understand social things. The only way to understand social things is to experiment and see what happens. But using other people's emotions for your own gain does make you a bad person. So, society puts us in an impossible situation. What's worse is that y... |

| There's nothing wrong with wanting sex. There is something wrong with not wanting sex. If someone said I was mad just bc she wouldn't have sex, I would be angry bc they think they can sum up the reasons for my anger with a simple explanation. But the simple explanation doesn't even make sense, if so... |

| People like those that are similar to them. People like those that have high social value. Good job, good social skills, good looks. People want to get the best they can. All people start off with unrealistic expectations of how good of a partner they can get. Some people mature and adjust their tar... |

If you don't like the way you are treated when you are the chaser why would you treat your chasee the same way? Because people like us with asd don't see these things naturally, we must think about them and act appropriately. |

| Do you think it's quite a common trait for aspie men to chase after women who are already in commited relationships? Because we don't understand what is and what is not appropriate? that depends on how one looks at it. I personally have been rejected several times in a row by those I though I had a... |

It wasn't a big deal. You were just trying to be friendly. I don't know why people think what you did deserves an aggressive response. |

It's only a disorder if it is causing significant difficulty in your day to day life. If it isn't causing any difficulty, why would you even get a diagnosis for it?
If you are functioning at a high enough level there is no 'D'. programmers and mathematicians are AS without the D |
