I think it's semi-friendly but not ideal in most cases. I find that social interaction is okay when it's goal-based (person needs x) and I have a lot of control over how to meet that goal. What throws me off is office politics, being uncertain what's expected of me, being given the wrong infornation... |

Thanks for all the responses. We had another long talk and are seeing how it goes for now. I'm still pretty upset, but he's pointed out that any other time something bothered me (thankfully, not much), we discussed a solution and acted on it immediately. Which is true. Outside of this, the relations... |

You should keep reacting the way you reacted when he told you to shut up. That is not okay whether in public, or in private. You must be consistent about it. You cannot allow a person to talk to you like that. Otherwise, he won’t respect you. I agree... but the relationship can't continue this way ... |

The four of us meet regularly and there's often lots of banter between us. Last night, myself and one other were talking and my boyfriend suddenly raised his voice and told me to shut up. I guess he felt we weren't giving him room to talk. On top of the other hour of him acting like a tough guy the ... |

I don't think it's fair to ask for exclusivity if you're still strangers, regardless of whether it's long-distance or not. Long-distance is difficult, and I think it can only succeed when people are both fully invested and clear on what they're getting. Trying to keep someone away from local options... |

I'm not sure how much of this would apply to you, but part of anxiety for me was looking for the "right" or "perfect" response, which really doesn't exist. Having to perform socially and having something to prove. So it creates an impasse that inevitably results in withdrawing be... |

Would anyone be interested in Minneapolis-St. Paul meets specifically for adults to meet other adults on the spectrum? I've looked at existing meets in the area and they're all for parents or caretakers. |

I think I'm similar. I use forums less than I did when I joined. They're good for occasional interaction and information. |

I still like the SNES or PlayStation. I mostly swapped to PC around 2008. |

I think it could be either of the things you mentioned. Some people are insecure about their intelligence or hobbies, so if someone says they want to learn something unusual and complex like Latin, they assume it's to make yourself look good. But, conversational rules can be pretty finicky about how... |

I still play, but only alone because it's hard to group up on short notice. I do a lot of shiny hunting and snagged a shiny Swablu last week. Cool! I caught a shiny Snubbull the other day. I usually play alone as well, I only really see a lot of people playing during community days. Likewise, since... |

Not specifically about friendship, but I've been reading Dear Emma and the Eragon series. Both have pretty good story arcs about friendship (in addition to romance). |
