I suppose this is really different for everybody. You might find some relief using the hormones found in some birth control prescriptions useful. It was one of the first things prescribed for mood swings, etc for daughter. For menopause, hot flashes may be the worst problem, although I recall feelin...

I don't think there are any real rules about that. Do what is right for you, don't let pressure from others interfere with your own needs, wants, and be true to yourself. As long its consensual and nobody is forced, guilted, pushed, or harmed, that is strictly between the individuals involved.

if you are truly worried about their safety, you can have authorites do a "well being check" in many countries. This gets law enforcement to check and depending on what they find, the person can be helped through social service agencies, emergency care, etc. This would be if you are sincer...

quite likely! Sensory processing problems are common in almost all autistic individuals but might not show up in the same sense or the same way. Sense of touch is a biggie for many people, too hot, too cold, too smooth, too hard, too rough, too fuzzy, too much! Texture, temperature, the feel of some...

I think in terms of our neurology, its all neurodevelopmental, with strong and weak traits that show in neurological testing, we may test really high in performance in some areas and miserably low in others... those test results are really a very strong indicator of autism's presence. Spiky, because...

you can't make anybody do something they don't want to do. They do not want to interact with you, accept that and move on. You can only change your own behavior, you can not change somebody else's. From here it seems as if you are hounding or harassing this individual. Give up and move on. If they w...

write a note leaving contact info , tell them you are available if they feel like interacting. mail it to them. Then leave it up to them. Many people simply don't want the attention and interactions with others. If somebody persisted in chasing me, trying to get me to interact , showing up at my doo...

probably just depends on the people involved. Maturity in males is usually slower and behind where women are at the same age. In your 30s usually these things even out. We will always be too young or too old, too ugly, too poor, too "something" for some others, but there are many others &q...

"self identified" is a better way to describe "self diagnosed". Many people in many places do not have access to diagnosing professionals, especially those born before 1980. May professionals have not kept their understanding and information about autism up to date (so much new u...
