Has anyone here tried any cuisines from Africa? Any that you would recommend? Most African food I've had was from North Africa - I've had Moroccan and Egyptian a few times. The only sub-Saharan country I've had food from was Mozambican (specifically peri-peri chicken, which is eaten in a number of t...

Damn, I could never live in a tent. I've never even been camping - I have to sleep in a bed, not a sleeping bag.

You know something? I think you are absolutely correct about the cancel culture thing. The celebrities who were subjected to it are still famous and still raking in more wealth than they deserve. Even rapists and pedophiles like Bill Cosby and Kevin Spacey (they aren't even in prison). Many people ...

I'm at the library right now, and about 15 minutes ago, a woman came in with a rather loud small child. Thankfully, they left the room now, but I found it hard to concentrate with the little kid making noise. I always go to the adult section of the library because it's generally quiet, but when a mo...

I definitely think a marriage between an autistic person and a neurotypical person can work. As long as they love each other and have patience and respect for each other, I think things will go just fine.

Google can be pretty weird. I remember years ago, if you typed "French military victories", it said "did you mean French military defeats?"

The scary thing is, when an autistic child is killed, it doesn't make headlines as much as it should. I remember I once read about an autistic 13-year-old who was killed by police and, while there was outrage, it was pretty much swept under the rug after a few days. Meanwhile adults are killed by p...

Regardless of what people's political views are, people should at least have their own ideas when it comes to making movies and TV shows rather than stealing others' ideas. I know with a public domain story (like Alice in Wonderland or Cinderella), it doesn't belong to anyone, so anyone is free to m...

People love to give credit to aliens for everything. There's people who think aliens built the pyramids. (Also, ever notice that people always give aliens credit for non-European ancient structures such as the pyramids in Egypt, the Nazca lines in Peru, and the moai of Easter Island, while they neve...

Like many autistic people, I deeply despise the puzzle piece, and I find it offensive when people insist on using it to represent autism. I was thinking...do you think it should be considered a hate symbol in the same vein as the swastika or the Confederate flag? TBH, I do consider the puzzle piece ...

The definition of "sexual harassment" seems to have gotten a lot looser in recent years. Nowadays, many people think complimenting a woman on her appearance is sexual harassment. I've also noticed that autistic men tend to be scapegoated a lot because of the stereotype that autistic people...

Have you ever seen a burqa, niqab, or other face veil in person (i.e. not just a photo)? I actually remember seeing a woman with a niqab and an abaya when I went to a grocery store in Queens with my mom about 10 years ago or so. The woman had a baby with her. I didn't say anything, but I think I men...
