Nearing the top of my pay scale in the area of the US where I live, close to 10k/month. If I lived in NYC easily double that.

My short term memory, especially with regards to conversations, is terrible. It's nearly debillitating (sp) in high sensory environments.

At my peak, I had about 3000 CD's, so having 1000 songs is nothing. Plus, if I was limited to a few hundred songs, I'd have to keep switching around what I want to carry. I used to carry about 50 cd's in my car alone, so the larger the storage, the better.

Aspie husband here. The biggest challenges for me, which tend to get me stressed and meltdown, are: Social events. Don't force social events on an Aspie. These can be hell. Over the years I have reached the point where I can cope in a lot of social situations, but I must be left alone in my own wor...

I have nowhere to go, I don't know anyone I can stay with even temporarily- I have no friends, no aquaintances, no mone... |

I get overwhelmed by certain things. Shopping for clothes, for instance, completely paralyzes me. Decisions on what looks good, goes together and fits is just very confounding. Other things, I'm completely at ease when there are issues. But that in itself is something I dread.

My handwriting is illegible, even to me. It's always been terrible, looking back 30+ years of school report cards, but has gotten much worse in the last 10 years, with the advent of un-handwritten communication...aka...email. I find that the only time I use a pen or pencil, is to sign my name (check...

Anything Linux. Who cares if it's rock solid if nothing runs on it and you have to patch/RPM it every 3 weeks. Cry all you want about XP, but there's really only one way to hurt it and that's to load 100's of crappy apps on it. You can't even load 1/10 of the crappy apps on most linux releases, hens...

I'm always surprised when I hear that IT jobs in the US are hard to find. I've never been out of work, have had numberous concurrent job offers, and really just decide where and for who I want to work. There's plenty of work for the skilled and even semi-skilled in IT. There's little work for those ...

To males, what's pretty is mostly a learned experience. Look at what was considered beauty over history (Rubenesque Women -probably spelled wrong), 70's hippie chicks, 90's Metal chicks. Opposite ends of the spectrum. I've been with girls who in some cases, people said I could do better, and others,...

Hi, I've been a member for a while but just began posting. I have been diagnosed with Aspergers at 44, and much of my life questions are at least clearer now. I wish however, it was diagnosed 30 years ago. Some things would have been different. Anyway, one thing I read about, is the friend thing. It...

44 for me, in the middle of a divorce. We were going to a therapist, who noticed it right away. Very odd, but somewhat relieving. I'm not 100% sure that's all that is wrong. But it's a start. I would have liked the dx before the marriage collapsed. My 2 sons (7 and 2) will suffer this divorce no mat...
