Yes. I would get anxiety grade/highschool too. It probably didn't help my younger brother was an instigator and therefore took the brunt of my anger. He just kept pushing my buttons when I told him to stop. We've come to terms with this. He calls it the insanity gene. Perhaps I should tell him about...

I was skeptical of Buffy when I was younger. After a friend tried getting me into it and me not really caring I eventually did start watching it years later and found it and the other show Angel to be very enjoyable while not taking itself too seriously overall. As I've come to realize most things c...

Your typical person learns to lie at an early age I belive out of an outdated survival instinct. I guess it makes life easier.

We could probably use a few Aspie politicians.

I had a teacher in grade 7 who I loathed because she was so boring (and drove a brown corvetter bleh!) I refused to learn from her. I would put my head down on my desk and stop doing the work because it gave me such anxiety. It didn't help she was also the guidance councilor as well as my history &a...

I'm reading My Inventions - The autobiography of Nikola Tesla and noticed he could do the same. He was probably one of the best the world has ever had in that regard. He could memorize books of poetry, etc and recite them, think up inventions in his head and work out the problems before putting them...

My emphasis was on ORGANIZED religion. I don't have a problem with people seeking answers through their faith. Just slavery. Instead of truly seeking answers (that they will probably never find) most people settle for status quo answers that appeal to them to help them sleep at night. I will go to h...

When people can't relate they often reject. People don't usually want to understand reality. It scares them. Hence the popularity of organized religion. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger, more than themselves. Some just take the easy route. You can't fault them for being born typical a...

What's ironic is I'm the same way and have been working for a big phone company for 10 years because it was the first job available out of college. Somehow I've managed to stick out the boredom and forced myself to call people when I need to. Of course I'm able to see patterns in troubles and do the...

Sorry to hear about some of the crap in your life. Aside from specific details with parents it sounds like my life and I imagine many others here. As I've found out, you're not alone. Life is a puzzle and knowing WHO and WHAT you are helps so much in finishing it. How many people can truly say they ...
