Yes I have tried. I wrote out a big plan for it one New Year's about how I would pay attention to body sensations and try to figure out if I was feeling anything and how I would use feeling words more often and pay attention to them when other people used them. My sister-in-law laughed though and sa...

Yes I often feel like I am just passing time. I don't see myself accomplishing much more in my life. It does feel like I am a little video game person with the sand in my glass just running out while I go around doing pointless things.
I don't know how to change that perception though. |

I am pretty sure that you wouldn't be able to get a liscence here for guns because of your bipolar. I have not tried to get one but have been told that my history of depression would be an issue. I am in Canada though. I am not a big fan of guns but I wouldn't think AS or autism should be a factor i...

If you don't want the ads you can just enable pop3 on your account and you never see them that way. I agree that gmail isn't any different from other email providers in terms of privacy but people are more aware of the privacy concerns with it. I have had a gmail account for quite some time now and ...

Because of my autism it is usually the surgeon who insists that I am better off out for even things they routinely do with the person awake. I don't know what they think will happen if I am awake but because it has gotten me out of some unpleasant experiences I don't mind too much. If you don't thin...

Hmmmm? Where lie the controversy between autism and Aspergers for you? Can you explain this conflict of interest symptom issue? I am not sure what you mean by conflict of interest in this case. I was diagnosed as a child with autism. Most of my doctors these days prefer to say Asperger's because th...

I really hate introductions so I was going to avoid doing one but then I decided that might be rude so here goes. People who chat on #asperger will know me already but for the rest I am a 37 year old female with autism (although my doctor often calls it Asperger's and I don't believe there is a diff...

I think it is wrong about it not being observed in Alberta. Most summers I am in Alberta for it and they do have it. I think there is variation from province to province about whether it is a civic or statuatory holiday and in Alberta it is not consdiered a stat for employement purposes but most peo...

Sigh I didn't want my first post to be about Dean but I might as well tell you kitsavvy that keeping track of his ips won't get you far. I have been banning Dean for years and he probably has thousands of ips not six. You can never ban everyone he has and since he seldom uses the same one twice bans...
