| What winners have you heard, from doctors or others? This morning a doctor told me, "It must be something else, maybe histrionic personality. You can't be autistic - you've had a normal life, you were married! " So the fact that I got into and stayed in a horrible relationship - apparently typical f... |

| anyway folks if this can happen to me it can happen to anyone in here most likely | I hear you. I'm still running on a stranger brushing my hair away from my cheek in a train station back in early July. (Don't say 'boobs' though - even if you don't say it directly around the woman, it comes across ... |

| @ Electric_Kite, not picking up ~any~ NT vibes at all in your writing style (and presumption you've got the complete overview) but, whatever. College & post-college, there was quite a lot of non-sexual s&d action with near-strangers. Maybe that worked b/c the quirk factor was much higher the... |

| I am theoretically NT You've sure got the pedantic part of AS down, though. Couldn't really follow your writing style very well. In and after college I knew plenty of NTs who did S&D. I agree absolutely 100%! ! The NT world has evolved to meet *their* needs. "their" needs ... I guess it's an ef... |

Arbie, sorry to hear about your family. Sounds very familiar.
Do you think there's a way we could logically figure out how to arrange quiet D&S evenings? We could list what we've already tried, and what else could work. |

More like off trail in the Swiss Alps during a storm. Exhaustion + alcohol + snowbank. If I knew how t... |

| That one's in the UK. They linked to the US one held in PA though, and apparently that's where the colored badge system came from. Both are over for this year, but are annual events. Maybe if I start learning about them now, I'd be ready to try one by the time they roll around again ... |

NH, can't for the life of me imagine why women don't take you seriously.
Popcorn sounds good. That stuff in the black bag with natural white cheese - what brand is that? Where I live now they only have the caramel option. |

| Another thing-in the U.S. at least, it's REALLY hard to get a smartphone without having to buy a data plan with it. I figured out that unlocked ones can even be used with pre-paid cards. They're more expensive up-front but having nothing is the most expensive option of all. So that's what I'm looki... |

| I think in my age bracket there are a small but significant subset of men who are willing to be (even want to be) partners rather than pets. There are good men out there. For sure. I'm only a few years older than you are ;) so I do see those guys. Their ideas of "partner", though, still don't seem ... |

| @ Chav, I hate to think you have to hide the AS side of yourself. Hygiene and social skills are great to develop, but having busted my glutes to master those skills, I feel I've already made huge accommodations for "NT handicaps." It gets my goat that NTs expect us to modify/tone down AS aspects tha... |
