The anti-Islamic comments in this thread are disgusting. The cafe is opposite to a news studio and the terrorist wanted press coverage. There are a few different views about the gun man. There's the official media story that says he was a lone gun man, self-appointed cleric who had a history of run-...

Yep. It was a bit surprising seeing those reactions.

I've been using more restraint since.

Sometimes people laugh at me if what I say seems obviously socially inappropriate yet I didn't realise it. Sometimes people laugh to ease their feeling of being uncomfortable. Other times they just find what we say to be genuinely funny. I don't mean that in a bad way. They might think we were makin...

As long as the person keeps an open mind and allows you to have your own views and you treat them the same, I would be friends with Christians, atheists, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, anyone. When I was a fairly involved Christian going to church I had a friend that was an atheist. They even asked me if I ...

I'm not that obsessed in it that much these days. I like to keep up to date with the latest research, maybe spread a little awareness, write about it in my blog posts along with ADHD/ Bipolar and all the other conditions I have.

Don't get between me and my Xbox.

I break your face.

And people that eat all my eggs/mushrooms.

I eat all your eggs, see how you feel.

It's my problem, I'll deal with it.

The first person actually said that thing about not wanting other people to get their 'likes.' I basically just repeated it. She felt like a reasonable person and I was a bit confused why someone who was a fan of them and made the page in their honor would be seen as a troll and person that made a f...

This is a very hard one to explain. When I talk to people usually online I use information (facts) that they've given me about themselves, but the way I deliver these 'reminders' is taken by that person in an accusing way. I usually think it's ok because the information is something the person has l...

At first I suspected dyslexia because in my attempts to be more social I discovered it was very hard for words to get out of my mouth. When I did my assessment the students testing me were still going with the belief that people with dyslexia can't have an IQ above 80. Science has since ditched that...

I'm more open minded about others with disabilities. It's not just that but I seem to be open minded about a whole lot of things now. I think it has helped being in the mental illness and disability community. You also learn that not everyone agrees on the same things and that every situation can be...

My official Asperger's diagnosis was expensive. The sad thing now is that I've got the type of doctor that would give me one for free. What's sadder is that doctor wants to give me that diagnosis. I'm diagnosed already. Twice in fact. Once by that doctor. I went down the whole self-diagnosis road an...

Some of you may have heard of the saying that "there is no such thing as a coincidence". Carl Jung spoke of 'synchronicity' where coincidences occur for no obvious reason but are a perfectly real phenomena. The only problem for most people is that they cannot be explained by normal rational scienti...

Eye contact is torture. I really feel sorry for all the people on here----expecially the adults----who weren't taught these things as a child, and are suffering so terribly, now. If I had been raised solely by my mother, I probably would've been just like them....[/b][/color] Don't feel sorry for us...

There's sometimes depressed and major depression. Two different things. Sorry, I hate the whole 'doesn't everybody get depressed' thing. Do you think you need your moods to be controlled? If you have a poor attention span you might want to look into ADHD. And there is a non-hyperactive subtype with ...

I think I'm hypomanic today. Just a really happy almost weepy feeling. I think I've now leveled out though.
