I said it is overrated, not that it was unnecessary.

If the aspie doesn't want to socialise in the first place, it's all pointless. The aspie cannot be blamed for it.

Ahh, I learned to ignore the eating sounds knowing I have the same problem. In your case it doesn't sound too bad when your family makes decent food from the sound of it ><. However, my dad is a bit disgusting and passes gas in the table (this annoys the hell out of me). Supper time is probably the...

Being productive is very overrated. The need to be so is caused by society making indiviuals feel guilty if they have a different attitude about this. I guess this feeling of guilt is what makes society work...

"The future" can kiss my ass. There is no point in thinking of it, it just gives those annoying NTs a sense of security, because their brain is designed to think that way. Or is it society that makes them think that way?

I have EXTREME anxiety. I attempted CBT but it didn't work. I tried it for at least two years. After I got diagnosed with aspergers (last summer) the psychologist said, "No wonder why CBT didn't work. It won't work for someone that has aspergers". So, what is the proper protocol for treatment for a...

These days it is rare to hear of families that actually eat together. Ours did for years and years. I really hate eating together for several reasons. One, I hate listening to the sound of another person chewing. My youngest brother hates it too. Especially when my mom does it. Two, I HATE the soun...

I can't stand chaotic traffic, that's why I won't learn to drive. Belgian drivers don't behave very well comparing to many other countries. About crossing the street: i only rely on the signals when there is alot of traffic. I am not a rainman either in traffic.

The hyperfocussing of aspies seems something different than that of Neanderthals who were supposed to use it for hunting. It is applied very differently, so it seems very unlikely indeed. Also if it was true, all people with this skull shape should generally be more aspie-like, while i never noticed...

The physical traits of Neanderthals seems to have been lost (more or less) and those that persist shows weak to non-existant correlation with being Aspie. This is unfortunate, but not surprising. If ASDs still were strongly linked with Neanderthal physical traits, they would be easy to spot (and el...

I also have long arms, but i have a "stretched out" look all over my body (its not marfan syndrome). That's also something that often occurs with aspies.

I didn't see it so much in the pic post. I assume the theory is b/s.
Unless maybe those who have it are different types of people with autism spectrum disorders.
