That's what's nice about forums like this - the support it can give you. Things can get better, even if it seems that all hope is gone. |

From what I can gather on this board, is that Aspergers are a bunch of wuzzies that don't want/are afraid to get hurt. Well, I can tell you right now that THAT is THE way to get hurt. If that's the case then in some ways everyone's a "wuzzy" because I can't think of anyone who actually isn't at som...

I have had similar thoughts at times in th past when I faced rejection, but I realized that yeah, maybe people would feel bad and come to my funeral, but eventually memories of me would fade and would I really want to be remembered as the guy who off-ed himself to get attention from women? That may ...

Hi Jeff! Welcome to WP. I am relatively new here too, but I've found that it's good to see how many people will share the same experiences. I'd take what your father says with a grain of salt. I think many people have interests or ways of acting that parents find to be "too immature" for one's age, ...

I like this video. It is good to remind ourselves that there are resources, creativity, and things we can do that can help us when the depression seems unbearable, and it is also good to know that others are feeling the same way we are.

No matter how old I am, or what my life situation is, it always seems like other people have some kind of natural connection to each other, and I'm not part of it. Not that I'm trying to be part of it, but sometimes I would like to, and don't know how. Ditto for me. Always feeling like the outsider...

I have set one up before, so no problem for me to create one. I'll keep you in the loop. Hope you are enjoying the great weather we are having today! |

I think the really unfortunate thing is that we are such great people but many of us just don't know how to fit into the social world. In many ways I wonder how many others like myself were out there during my college and high school years that I could have known, but they were just as uncomfortable...

Sorry to hear about your loss of friends. :( Many of us seem to have gone through the same things, and I hope it comforts you to know you're not alone. If it's any consolation, there are many times when people drift in and out of a person's life, and many times those people do care even if one think...

Hi everyone, Just this past Monday, I was talking to a therapist who suggested that I might have Asperger's, which I had never even heard of before. I looked it up and found that many aspects of me are aspie through and through - I have always been socially awkward, and as a child my mother kept tel...
