There's a curve in the highway Just south of town Where a man is pulled over To figure life out With only his conscience and the lonesome sound Of Diesels winding upgrade Got a wife and two kids They love him so Got a woman down in Charleston She's starting to show Well he's damned if he leaves But ...

i had also thought Rainbow was just making a joke. It's something I would say to husband :) But we all perceive things differently in these formats. Because we have no help from body language (not that many of us would pick THAT up) or tone of voice inflections (ditto) ... it's hard to understand w...

Yeah, as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) she's quite pro-meds and I remember reading something like "for ASD people videogames are drugs for the eyes". These two facts alone guarantee her my eternal dislike. why? just because you don't want to face your addiction to videogames doesn't make ...

I am also pro-choice. FWIW, why is it that the 'pro-life' people in the USA are almost always supporters of capitol punishment? Just for the record, I'm a pro-life American, and I'm anti-capital punishment. I also find it ironic that many pro-lifers are pro-death penalty. There's really nothing iro...

No, I mean successfully. Technically we all exist in some niche until we die, but it doesn't mean we fit there. In 45 years, so far I fit nowhere.
How so?

I knew someone who got fired from a subshop because, and I quote, "They looked like they didn't enjoy making sandwiches." That being said, if you don't fit the required superficial job description, then you should probably be looking elsewhere for employment. Then there are those who fit nothing, l...

and then they don't talk to you. Does this piss anyone off? Someone sends me a PM and says she want to be my friend. We chat on YIM and had a good conversation all day long and then she had to get off because her husband wanted her to. Since then we have no spoken. I IM her and she doesn't really r...

I don't see how Lego is an autie thing. You'd be hard pressed to find a child that DOESN'T enjoy lego.

It's nice to see the power of positive thinking at work, especially for a girl of your age. There are too many people who take a negative world view or choose to become a victim when bad stuff happens in their life. I applaud your outlook and encourage you to never lose it. Congrats Haley!

please show me 1)where I've been harsh Some of your references and words, such as saying ASD people may be being "fake" ("fake" was your word; I don't want to reword that part as you seem to really not be understanding what I'm saying, or...Well, I really can't figure it out). I never once said tha...

I definitely can't make the diagnosis, that's why I asked and then said I was guessing. I'm still asking...As for why my guess: Because your view of AS and ASD behaviors and motivations seems unduly harsh , and you seem genuinely perplexed about them, whereas if you'd been living either way, I woul...

You're supposed to feel bad but 3-year-olds don't necessarily naturally feel bad...not even NT ones. Sorry, in this case, it really is patterning at first...NT or not. And not "feeling" bad at age three doesn't make the mark of a future serial killer. I'm getting the hint you're not AS or ASD? It's...

Practice, practice, practice. The things you learn how to do when you are very young become such second nature that you don't even realize how you are doing them anymore as an adult. Neither the NT 3 year old nor the Aspie 3 year old has the slightest idea how to feign, fake it till you make it etc. ...
