Has anybody else done something at school to make themselves look like complete idiots? I don't even know where to begin. Last year, my first year of university, I was in a Literary Science 101 (I study Dutch literature) and I was to analyze a short part of a sentence as a literary analysis techniq...

Thank you all for your responses. Many interesting points were made so I will try and address them. I think the thing for me is that I would be dreadfully embarassed if people thought I actually had any sort of affinity for black culture, or that I would do things like publically interracially date...

Hi there guys! I am working on a super top secret mission, doing research in theology, the concept of God and historical Jesus (okay, it's a manuscript for a book an agency contacted me to write). As people in the world, everyone has a concept of the Christian God, whether you believe or not. What I...

I didn't get to finish a full diagnosis, but my documents say that I am severe Aspergers. I didn't get an IQ test or a finished over all diagnosis, so I don't know If I have a mixture of AS and Savant. I never got my full diagnosis, but sometimes I run into Asperger's related issues in university. ...

How the heck are they able to see a twinge in the cheek and know what it means? They aren't, they just don't talk about it, because I can imagine that, to them, it's perfectly normal. I for one find it very weird that people can read faces, or seem confident doing so. Well, what if they don't? Mayb...

What exactly is society? It never did anything for me or others who really need help. All it did is demand, expect and condemn. Why should I care about it? Why should I want to be part of something like that? I feel you SO hard on this one. Yesterday I had this conversation about society, my family...

Hi there! In three weeks I'll start my second bachelor year at Utrecht University and just finished the first year with a nice 4.0 gpa. Naturally, there's always room for improvement somewhere. Lately I've been very interested in the concept of note-taking, and I've been researching it for little bi...

I'm also finding that quick spurts (5 or 10 minutes) and then a break (going on the internet!) for just as long seem to be just the way I learn. I'm not happy about this and I would like to improve my achievements in terms of what I'm actually getting DONE in my study sessions. I have some strategi...

I am not a happy person. I do not know for sure if I have aspergers, but if I do, its combined with ADHD. So how about it - how many of you would describe yourself as happy? I'm not sure if there's any evidence for any type of disorder or syndrome being combined with general happiness or sadness, a...

The other day I saw a documentary on youths who were involved in self-harming in any way (cutting, trichotillomania, burning, etc.)*. I was surprised to see how apparent a lack of dealing with strong emotions was in these cases. I self-harmed for six years, and while I have been clean for the past t...

I once heard someone use the word "curebie" for them but that sounds rather childish. I think neurotypical supremacist is a good word for them because it is accurate. They think they are better than us and that they should rule over us. They want to take away our rights. That's what supremacists do...
