My favorite living experience was living in a dorm, the one where I knew all my friends were going to be in from the previous year. While I enjoy my privacy immensely, I really liked being able to leave my room and be able to interact with someone that I felt comfortable with, without having to pla...

Alright, Normally I don't just jump into things this far along, but I feel the need to comment. As a man, and an aspie, who respects women and treats them well, and is engaged as a result, I have to say that this guide would not be particularly effective, depending on the type of woman you are looki...

I will keep those in mind, although I don't think alcohol would really help - it basically doesn't effect me until I drink enough to get sick.

I thank everyone for their replies. I don't wish to seem to be brushing aside proffered advice, but it is not that I have a fear of flying, I simply cannot operate long with that many people around me. the noise and presence of that many people in a small area is too much for me, and it is not fear ...

Having looked up Xanax, I've found that it is a benzodiazepine. I have tried several drugs from that category, and they all failed, leading my doctor to conclude that the entire family of drugs does not work for me.

I suppose I could try Xanax. Does anyone have any good non-medication hints?

Thank you for the reply. I've found that many aspies do seem to have strange responses to drugs. I have not tried Xanax, but I have tried Valium, and it absolutely did not work for me. I once had a prescription for it to take if I began to overstimulate. I tried this one time, and it didn't help. Kn...

I'm an aspie, and I have trouble with flying. I'm sure many others understand - far too many people in a crowded area, too much noise, etc. I also will be flying to China next year - a 16 or so hour flight. I'm extremely concerned about this. I would love to be able to take a sedative for the flight...

I got my driver's license at the age of 21. I seemed to learn to drive reasonably easily. I've only been pulled over once, for forgetting to turn my headlights on - I tend to forget such things. I'm a better driver than NTs though. I follow the laws. Stop at stop signs, use turn signals, drive the s...

Following this model, I'm guessing that I just don't feel physical attraction at all... everytime I have felt anything for anybody, it was developed over a long period of time, from months to years. I would like to note that this is not necessarily the case. I am capable of being physically attract...

It is sometime frustrating how often people think I'm gay. For reputation purposes I don't care, and I don't care if guys think I am gay at all. They can hit on me its just not going to go anywhere. But with women it's just annoying. The funny part is when women treat me like I'm one of them. That's...

I have had this fantasy several times in my life now, and the mere thought of it being even remotely possible is so relieving, but my logic tells me it is a rather unlikely scenario... The idea is this: To find someone who, like myself, has their own interests and prefers their own company to that ...

Well, if you value your look, but want to be more approachable you can alter it pretty minimally and have that go a long way. Feel free to listen or disregard as you see fit, because I'm more than willing to admit that some women go for things I will never understand. But, in my (never) humble opin...

You do sound totally goth. So goth girls would probably dig you. :) If you are attracted to other types of girls besides the gothic kind, then trying dressing in the style of the boys those kinds of girls go out with. Seriously, just look at their boyfriends and observe their clothing and hairstyle...

It sounds like a dream to me. My long-term ex of many years and I always did best when we lived separately. it might be a dream, but it might work out as well. She understands me more fully(even the aspie parts) than anyone I've ever known, to include therapists. The most amazing thing is that I've...
