I just wanted to thank everyone for their assistance. There's been some very insightful perspectives in the thread. It has certainly been refreshing to get a bit more perspective than the typical "Oh but most people aren't social[...]", which isn't even really my concern, "[...] doing...

Hi, I've not used this account in quite a long time, but I've recently been considering applying for a PhD programme (and I have a potential supervisor who has offered to discuss 'open problems in research' which I think is suggesting PhD supervision) and I'd quite like to get some perspective on th...

The Matrix should never get a sequel. The film was excellent as it was and a sequel is completely unneccessary. If it was made it could even tarnish the original film and that would be awful. I'm just glad the Wachowski (spellling?) brothers never put out a rushed sequel that ruined the Matrix's sto...

More like he's become Dark Lord of the Sith. |

I was going to buy it all day one.
And then I figured out they weren't the versions that were brilliant so I decided I would wait for the price to lower...
And then I saw the changes (such as Vader's "NOOOOOO") and decided I will wait for the unaltered versions. |

Most admit I didn't see it until Gray Matters but I must congratulate you for finding it out at the beginning. Also, I must disagree that it'll end badly for him. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended with Walter escaping (while people around him continue to suffer or die) as (to me atleast) that woul...

To me it's indisputably The Wire followed by Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and then Mad Men. After that I'm not really sure what I'd call my favourite, maybe Game of Thrones.

Just thought I'd bump this in the hope that this thread can be used to post opinions after each episode airs (I was going to start a thread for the weekly discussion of episodes but there is no reason this shouldn't be suitable). I must say, using light spoilers in case somebody hasn't seen it, "Cor...

I too am one of the legion as this show is the very best. There is nothing close to it currently (although Breaking Bad is fast approaching it if it continues to be as consistent as it is). The writing is unmatched and the characters are so real, so unique that almost everyone of the tens of main ch...

Actually, I must admit I find it kind of funny that other people feel the exact same as I do in the sense that once we post the thread either dies or the post gets over looked and because of the amount of people (even if it's small) that feel that way I think it may be more of a case that we only no...

I don't really like the term confessions since that implies I'm unhappy about the secrets but the main ones are: I wish I was dead (but won't do it due to the fear of pain in the act and because I want to see how Breaking Bad ends first). I wish my parents were dead. I've told them multiple times an...

First off, I don't really expect any replies because I'm really making this post just so I can get things off of my chest and hopefully (although not likely) feel better. Secondly, I assume this section of the forum is filled with responses like "Sorry to hear" or "Things will get better" (used thos...

I'm Irish and live in Waterford. I'm not really aware of any other people with AS (atleast those who are my age) and when I was diagnosed about 10 months ago there were only three other people between 12 and 20 who'd been diagnosed with it so services are extremely limited and although a note was ha...

I can't remember if this was explained in every ending or just a select few but in one of the endings this was explained. I cannot remember exactly who said it or what since I've not played the game in months but I think the explanation was that the poison was not actually poison at all and it was s...

I have quite a large amount downloaded but my favourite has to be Tilt to Live. It was recommended by a friend and I dismissed it at first but when I picked it up during a sale I fell in love with it. It is simple yet highly addictive and it's the sort of game which makes you think "just one more tr...
