I go out alone often to stave off the lonely depression at home. You need to talk to people at the pub or wherever you go. Find a local and become regular, you will meet the other regulars and they will accept you for who you are. If you decide to stay home, call your local helpline, the operators a...

The 'speciation' of autism i think is much older than any culture. my theory is that autism produced the shaman. Shaman are the spiritual leaders of a tribe, but they also are the ones that maintain medical knowledge. They know which plants have what effects, and how to find them, and etcetera. Sha...

I have a lot of random/abstract dreams. I occasionally have lucid dreams. There are also places that I recurrently visit, like a dream universe.

Other than regarding our children, my ex- and I had no say in each other's behaviour once we separated. Both of us dated other people during the mandatory 12 month trial separation. She has more luck than I do romantically which makes me a bit jealous, but that's my problem.

It seems plausible that a diagnosis makes the traits seem more acceptable (you have a valid excuse/reason), so you stop trying to hide them as much. This might actually be a good thing of course, it can't be too healthy to constantly try and monitor your own behaviour (as I did to some extent befor...

Greets dude. You are adult right? How do you think your life would have been different if you had been diagnosed as a child? I ask because I was DXed as an adult too and I wonder the same thing.

Same, I can feel what's going on with someone if I open myself to it, but I'm not good with body language/social interaction. See my previous post for more info. |

Sometimes I am so overwhelmed by psychic stimuli that I need to lie down. I often feel what others are feeling, in that my empathy is too much, so I avoid closeness and 'connecting' with others I can feel what others are feeling too, this is stepping into metaphysics territory. I think it's the mai...

@Maolcolm that sounds dishonest, or at least disingenuous. If there is no real problem with kids touching them, then they should just mention that; not dig a deeper hole. I think the reason why the very young (and in some cases very old), and certain other people don't cause the same reaction (for m...
