I went to the emergency room because I got a really bad migraine last night and it just felt..off. The ER referred me to a neurologist, for some reason. I'm calling to make my appointment tomorrow and I was wondering if, when I see the neurologist, if I should mention that I think I have AS. Sometim...

Though, I truly am set in my ways with several things and I have a hard time believing that this will ever change. I think that she and I both keep waiting for the day when I start to behave like a normal adult. If I receive an AS diagnosis, we both kind of have to acknowledge that I might not ever ...

The bill in question is actually just a ticket that I kept forgetting to pay. I would never forget the utility bill (solely because my dad is also on our utility bill as his credit rating is higher than mine). Forgetting to pay our bill means that my dad and younger siblings wouldn't have electricit...

I've been in a relationship with someone for three (3) years. For the past year, I've been researching AS and trying to find someone to diagnosis me with it. I started thinking about a diagnosis and what it would do to our relationship, recently, and well, I really don't know what to do. I've been w...

A few nights ago my partner and I were watching Toy Story 3 with another friend. I have to say that it ruined my image of my childhood. The little girl was playing with her toys and I started laughing because, seriously, who plays with toys like that? Needless to say, when my partner and friend look...

My partner is going to be deployed sometime in July. This will be our first deployment, on both levels. She's been in for almost five years and never left the states. We've been together for two years and she's never left me for longer than a week at a time, and even then it was just to see her moth...

This is a stab in the "dark," Shy, but... Do you smoke cigarettes? If so, how much? How many per day, and how many of them do you smoke at work? How long is your work day normally? Do you smoke normally more (or a lot more) when you aren't at work then when you are? Nope, I definitely do not smoke!...

Off-topic, but nice name; how did you come up with it? ...And regarding what you're asking about... I guess, sometimes I used to... I like the noise it makes. I used to do it as a kid, but not all the time; I don't really do it anymore, except that I did when you mentioned it... (Yeah, take a wild ...

I don't really notice half of my 'stims'. My partner notices them more than I do, thankfully none of them really get on her nerves!

When I was younger, I continuously clicked my tongue on the roof of my mouth. My mother told me to stop because it is something that 'people with real disabilities' did. She said the same thing about my hand flapping, which I do on a semi-regular basis. Anyone else click their tongue?

I also work in a consumer service job and as you said it is really difficult. I have convinced myself that a lot of the people I see, I will never see again so I don't need to worry about what they think. But I understand how hard it is. I can't walk down Alise in a store with other people in them....

I work at Target, dealing with people on a regular basis. Some days are better than others, some are completely awful. Lately, work has been completely awful. I haven't been diagnosed with AS but I'm two hundred percent sure that I have it. I've shut down at work almost every day for the past month ...

To start this off, I should say that I think I have Asperger's. I will most likely never receive an official diagnosis because I'm generally put off by doctors. I will only seek diagnosis if I reach a point where I am uncomfortable with who I am and that discomfort interferes with my day to day life...

I'm ridiculously clingy. My partner is in the military and I dread the day when they leave for deployment because I will no longer be able to function. I fall into moods where I am unsure of my partner's love for me solely because they didn't show affection (even though we were in public and my part...

I find that I ask questions a lot, too. Mainly because as one person stated before, if I don't ask questions I feel as though no one would talk to me. Asking questions seems to be a polite way of attempting to make friends (even though I realize that my questions become intrusive and awkward). In my...
