Lykke Li
This Trumpet In My Head

I can't get that trumpet out of my head
I can't get that trumpet out of my head
I woke up and I can't get that trumpet out of my head
And you say you can't stand me when I'm quiet,
and so I shot you in my silence

I can't get that trumpet out of my head

I'm really awkward around people I'm unfamiliar with, better around those I know more personally. I too was identified as gifted early on in school, and I think this did me more harm than good, because my parents often tried to pass off my differences as being different due to giftedness, which was ...

I wish I could stop doing it, but it happens no matter how many times I tell myself to remember not to do it. When a person extends their hand for a handshake, like if they put out their right hand, I always try to shake it with my left hand, which usually causes an awkward moment, or I have to try ...

I like the score, it was pretty intense at times. I also love that scene you posted. I went to college in a very big city, and can remember sitting in my dorm room which was on like the 16th floor or something, and just starring out the window at night, watching all the lights in the windows of the ...

Dear AP European History teacher from senior year, F*** you for waiting until our class was in the quiet setting of the school library to loudly ask me what my problem was. It is one of my worst memories from high school, and I sincerely hope that incident made you rethink your ways of approaching p...

This thread should be revived, it's a nice idea. Here's my pick, "Map of the World" by Monsters of Folk: There's a map of the world on the wall in your room Green pins where you want to go White pins where you've been, there isn't even ten and your already feeling old Pretty faces stare back from a ...

Cloud Cult. I'm not sure how many people really know about them, but this band has gotten me through some very, very hard times, and anyone who hasn't heard them is missing out. They are unique in that they always have two artists, one is usually the singer's wife, who paint live on stage dur...

It's one of my favorites. Nobody that I know has seen it aside from the professor who recommended it to me years ago. It's an interesting film, has anyone else seen it/liked it/disliked it? I'm a photographer, and I suppose that factors into why I enjoy this movie, but I think I would like it even i...

I agree with the gas idea, because it's the only thing that works for me personally. I have a big fear of the dentist, when I had to have my wisdom teeth out I was hysterical and they had to give me a pill, then gas, THEN the IV because I was so afraid of the IV :p But for a regular filling, I think...

Hey everyone. I wasn't sure where I should post this, so if there is a better spot please let me know. I tend to be overly wordy and draw out stories that could have been a lot shorter, so sorry if this comes across like a novel. This is only my 3rd post. I'm having a really hard time coping with wh...
