I thought Tony Attwood's Complete Guide to Asperger Syndrome was good. It was one of the first books I ever read about Asperger Syndrome and if I had to recommend a book about Asperger syndrome that would be it. Other than that I have seen some very poor books about Asperger Syndrome that seem judge...

I go to a group for people with Aspergers and I have noticed that some members of the group will move their hands and use gestures while talking, but other members of the group don't. I have also noticed the ones who use gestures the most are the ones who have been most successful in employment and ...

I like cats as pets, they are graceful and elegant with soft fur which can be many different colours. I like the independence of cats, but also they are sociable which isn't much like me. The only thing about me like a cat is that I prefer sleeping in the day, too. But because I'm a human society wo...

Even though life with Aspergers is very difficult for me sometimes I still wouldn’t want a cure, mainly for reasons other people have already said here. Also, I’m an adult now so it would probably be too late to cure me, anyway.

Physically being female is okay, but yes, I do hate the stereotypes and prejudice associated with it :x . I don’t think I’d be happy as a man either though, because they have their own stereotypes to deal with, such as not having any emotions. I can understand wanting to be genderless, it would get ...

I always had a tendency to collect things, especially as a child, but it’s hard to explain why. I would say that I found collecting to be satisfying whenever I found something new to add to a collection, comforting to look at and examine, and overall it was just enjoyable and relaxing. Losing a part...
