I don't cut much, but pain in general gives me something to focus on, which can be nice.

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Does anyone else seriously lack creativity?

While I don't consider myself uncreative, it is very hard for me to visualize things I have not already seen before, so I was never one of those children who had imaginary friends or made up lands or anything. Usually I take what I know and have seen and alter it until I like the results.

Having never heard of the term demisexual before this post I would have to say that is me. I've never had a boyfriend, never been on a date, never had any desire to be romantic with anybody. Thought about it a lot, but that's as close as I've ever come to even remotely desiring romantic contact. As ...

Though I do not have a scale and have not been weighed in months I am sure I am underweight or close to it because my GI system is a mess right now.

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Anyone else just really dislike sleeping?

Actually I enjoy sleeping, but sleeping seems to not like me. Because of several health problems I have it is hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep, but it's also hard for me to stay awake because I don't sleep well at night. But if I nap I certainly won't sleep well that night, so I can't nap ...

I would prefer one or two really good, reliable, trustworthy friends. I don't really see the point in having more friends, and I certainly don't see the point in having untrustworthy friends. Edited: It also depends on my mood. Sometimes I would like friends, but then I realize I am just bored and w...

I can't remember a time where I didn't sleep with a fan on. When I have to spend time away from home and away from my fan, I find it is too quiet to sleep. I hear every little noise and it bugs me. Sometimes, very rarely, music will help me concentrate by drowning out background noises, though mostl...

Well, in your age I was actually the opposite. I still felt like a child and couldn´t belive I´m an adult. After 25 I got used to my adulthood. In some regards I feel a bit like that too. Especially when it comes to special interests and socializing. It's very confusing. Is it possible to be mature...

Yup. That's probably part of what keeps me up at night, but I don't know how to shut it off, nor am I sure that I even want to.

Can't say I feel embarrassed per se, but I have an intense interest in spiders, and really all animals and insects. I refuse to kill any of them, because I've found that they really aren't that scary. Actually, I have two little wasps that found their way into my dorm and I'm don't want to get rid o...

I checked neither, though that wasn't always true. For some reason I had very little trouble reading nonverbals in others, but wasn't aware of them in myself until about two years ago. I never understood why people asked me if I was depressed, but I now realize it's because of my nonverbals. I still...

For me at least I know part of my problem is I just don't want to socialize very much. Unless I have to I usually don't see the point. I think another reason is that I often will find very vague connections between conversations and other things, like movies, songs, books, and other media and will o...

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday. I know for most people 22 is still considered "young" but I don't feel young. Haven't for several years. Actually, I don't know that I ever felt young. Sure, I might have been socially naive when I was a child, but emotionally (most of the time) and intellectually I a...

Dunno if I would call it "wasting" my life, but sometimes I feel like my life is on hold. Nothing is new, nothing is exciting, everything is the same and boring and all that jazz. I want something to make me feel like I have a purpose again.

I tend to be quite sarcastic, though I will get carried away sometimes and end up either hurting other people's feelings or at the very least they will become annoyed. As for catching sarcasm, I'm an usually the first person to understand a joke or use of sarcasm. Online it's much harder though.
