I have a facebook too, any of you can add me there. http://www.facebook.com/p/Heather_Smith/1293060244 I think I have something like 250 friends. I can't remember. Facebook is great, I can keep up with almost all my friends there. I would say that I talk to the majority of my "facebook" friends freq...

Gsilver - a lot of your post sounded a lot like me. Not all of it, mind you. I have some really good friends who really care about me. If I let my facade fall apart, I think I would still be left with a large group of friends. But the thing is, I don't want people to get close to the "real" me. I ha...

Yes, but I think this happens to everyone. There are some people you just can't take your eyes off of, and it's a chemical reaction in your brain that causes it. There's much truth behind the statement "eye candy."

Aspie, 17, scored a 9.

I can also do a lot of other crazy stuff...pop my shoulders out of socket, bend my thumbs all the way backwards (like to the other side of my wrists), etc.

No, I actually get along really well with my step dad, much better than I do with any of my actual family. Because of that, he takes it upon himself to try and "fix" some of my shortcomings in the responsibility department. My mom and I have other problems that I won't go into, most of them having t...

Though I wouldn't call myself solely agnostic, I believe its impossible to prove the unknowable. What makes you think that god is unknowable? Besides, proof isn't necessary. I would never ask for proof of anything. It's evidence that is needed. Join the club, we have jackets. Awesome, count me in. :D

AS a kid my social skills were non-existant. I changed schools a lot, which helped me overcome my fear of change and fear of new people, at least a little. I also started doing science research, so eventually I had to start presenting my work at scientific meetings. This of course scared me to death...

Everyone has them. Is it worse for autistic people? I don't know. But I feel like I need a good rant. I hate it when my step-dad comes in from work and immediately starts spouting off a list of things I need to do, and then adds some things because I've been irresponsible lately and haven't been kee...

Hmm, that's interesting. It's a twist on Christianity that I haven't really heard of before. But in the end, it's still just that: a twist. Who's to say you are right vs. some other Christian coming along to say that you're wrong? I know Christians who would specifically claim that you are going to ...

Was a "Christian" when I was younger, although I always had problems with it. I've been an Atheist ever since I really knew what the word meant, much to the dismay of my fundamentalist/Southern Baptist family. Although, I'm a little confused by this topic. It's not as if one can simply "choose" one ...

I actually do not like being drunk anymore. I like a moderate buzz, but the past few times I have gone farther then that, all I wanted to do was get sober, because being intellectual, I hate feeling and acting stupid. Sounds exactly like me. Plus, half the fun of a party is seeing everyone else act...

So what does pot do to you?

I'm not going to try it, because you have to smoke it, and for other reasons...but I was just curious.

If you use alcohol responsibly, then yes, it can help you. The key is knowing when to stop before you start (as someone said earlier) looking "more" aspie-ish than usual. But if you know when to stop, it can help you out and I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of social drinking.

Are these people you know in person or people you are just talking to randomly online? Usually its easier to talk to someone you know online rather than someone you don't know in person, because then you typically know how they'll take things and how far you can push it or what you can say. As far a...

I was just wondering, do any of you who have learned to get along socially fairly well find that you are mostly acting? Even before I ever found out what Asperger's was, I came to the realization that most of my social skills (which were all obtained through months of research and practice) are a fa...
