I'm skeptic/agnostic I can understand "religion" as a set of traditions, rituals of individual person - that's OK but I'm absolutely against "religion laws" or "forcing anyone to religion", because religion is just an opinion, and "opinion" is not equal to "truth" Interestingly, Christ was very aga...

Autistics tend to prefer logic, and evolution is more logical, than an invisible God, zapping us up from no-where. I'm not against the idea of God, I'm agnostic, there just isn't that much proof. There's no proof to disprove him either. And in ways, there is some proof. It is, I admit mostly circum...

Just yesterday my pastor was giving a very interesting sermon about the relationship between religon and science, and how religion is meant to describe the "why" in existance, and science explaining the "how". I for one have never really understood how one could actually disprove the other, when the...

A sweeping statement indeed about a presumed dislike of an organisation But their also fully-funding a way to indentify if a foetus is autistic and then give their parents a choice whether to abort, they want to eradicate autistics from the face of the earth. Errm, there was a poll on WP asking if ...

Interestingly autism has a higher diagnostic rate in richer parts of the world, there are two possible reasons for the higher rates. The obvious explanation for the higher rates is that richer parents are more likely to seek out a diagnosis however I would like to suggest that the social conditions...

I don't know about anybody else, but in my experiences, us Aspies get along swimmingly with one another, much better than an aspie and an NT, or two NTs. I think that if the world was more aspie, there would be less conflict, less war, less economic disparity, etc. I think that as a general group (I...

That's interesting, and I know what you mean. Personally, my own religous views have a good amount of influence from the quakers, and has led to my viewpoints on anarchy. Though I should say that, in most regards, I am more conservative than most anarchists.

No. Even if medicine helps, you are the one who caused it and if you won't deal with it on your own it may return sooner or later.

Exactly, that's why I want to go with a different treatment

The way people view Autism is a pain in the ass. To your average NT, Autism= Pathetic ret*d. So while I'm proud to be an Aspie, I'm afraid to tell people because then they'll look at me and treat me like the kids who still need to be potty-trained. Hell, even if they know me, and I explain that Aspe...

I should probably clarify the title a little more; Do you believe that Medicine based treatment for things like anxiety, stress, etc. is preferable to non- medicine based treatment such as exercise, therapy, and diet. I ask because I'm going though this kind of choice now. I take Zoloft everyday, at...

Nice to meet you. I was professionally diagnosed at age twelve. I also game alot, (Much to my mother's displeasure.) but I indulge in a few other hobbies as well. I play DnD with my friends from my youth group once a week, I enjoy almost all science fiction classics (Ray Bradbury is my favorite auth...

Ok, now I know who he is. Though I realize I'm going to sound like a fool, I originally started seriously considering Anarchy when I read 'V for Vendetta' by Alan Moore. I know it sounds like I adopted the view just by reading it, but all it really did was introduce the concept in a fair light, whic...
