I've given up on psychologists and psychiatrists. Medication doesn't work. I'm too complicated for them. It stresses me the hell out to have to go to the appointment every week. I hate that they always seem to want to dig deeper into my life but all I want is to work on my social issues. Anyways, ar...

Does anybody else do this? I always answer "No." when asked if I'm suicidal because I'm not and I don't want people fussing over it, but I think about it a lot (like at least 2 times a day) with a sort of morbid curiosity. What would it be like? etc. but then after a few seconds I realize that there...

I wasn't weird, everyone else was weird. THIS^ I thought this but I would say I was really weird just to get people used to the idea. I also thought I had social anxiety, but I probably do have it, now I know why though, and why the common symptoms don't apply to me. I don't care if I'm rude or wha...

Oh god I've had so many bad experiences. I've gone to more doctors than I can count since I was a little kid for various problems, one of which remains totally unsolved and the specialists in the area are a joke to me. It's so frustrating, I want my medical degree already. With a quick SMART google ...

I fooled myself for two-three years to the level that I'm not probably too traumatized to ever try it again. Yes I was more popular, I had a boyfriend, I ran for school secretary, I dressed unlike me, I took classes I didn't like but everyone was taking, etc. They were the WORST years of my life. I ...

I can't stand water. I taste all sorts of crap in it. The only water I once drank that I liked was a very expensive bottle of Voss (rich people water) somebody gifted me. I hate milk alone. Chocolate flavored milk is okay, so is tea with milk, and coffee with milk. But the milk and the coffee make m...

I can relate, I told my parents that they don't seem to concern with a thing called mental well being. Its really complicated just because you can do something in a good situation but you can't always when they want you to. Just so much stuff can interfere. For me it can be too much noise or social...

And in regards to sleeping, are you going outside during the day? Because if you don't get enough direct sunlight when your awake, it get's harder to sleep when your supposed to. If there's light coming into your room when your sleeping, that also screws up your sleep schedule. Don't worry about me...

I've been on a bunch of vitamins and they never do anything. Edit: I've also tried: antipsychotics, ssri's, and anxiety medication at levels that knock others out. They'll knock me out the first two days and then nothing. I seem to be immune to positive effects of drugs and I only get side effects. ...

You could tell them you're a smartist and then go on with how it means you're biased against stupid people, such as ableists. I have done something similar. When they're tired I complain they should just put a little more effort into it, etc. But they ignore me because they think their problems are...

Some advice would be to stray away from focusing on being "normal" and just make a subconscious and consistent effort to stay "presentable" (Bathed, teeth brushed, clean clothes, not trying to be rude, etc...). Other than that, you act however you want. I do. I have trouble with hygiene but I never...

I get a similar response. Just look at my newest thread . I am on the verge of a severe meltdown. Sometimes they seem to understand, then they're jerks, they don't believe me, yet they point out all my problems. I don't know how to approach it either. I've tried every logical method, but I guess tha...

Just need to explain that ableism is ok; it's just misguided. You can overcome a lot of your issues, but it's not easy, and you need to do it right. That would probably make sense to them. It does to my parents.. If you don't know what ableism is, how can you say it's okay? I know I can overcome my...

So they're not homophobic or sexist or racist or cissexist, but they're ableists. And it's pissing me off. Just because sometimes I can act normal doesn't mean I can do it all the time or I that I should. Telling me to just "put more effort into it" does not help. And now that they know and I...

I have a visual mental stim (I imagine things spinning, or movement) and sometimes I imagine banging my head against something (because if I actually do it it hurts), but usually I just actually stim.
