I agree that I do appreciate people knowing my limits and comfort zones, but I'm not stupid though.

I've turned 16 over 7 months ago and so have many of my peers. A good majority of them have starting to go for their learners permit and the process to one day getting their drivers' license. If they're comfortable with everyone else but get rude when you go up to them, they are probably belittling you. It'll become a toxic environment.
You should find a community that as I have heard it: "You aren't just accepted, you are celebrated".
