What do I do? Give up the apartment? I'm thinking about it. I might just look for a privately rented one instead. Where the stress comes in there is that many landlords ask for a month's rent in advance AND a deposit. That is a lot of money to hand over to someone you do not know and necessarily tr...

Alfa males is probably a big generalisation. Society doesn't like them, and they can be very disruptive.

How do you define an alpha male? I think you may have misunderstood something if you equal it to a "bad boy".

I like to feel safe and taken care of. That is much more likely if a man is confident, as he will be stable. Also, it suggests he is an alfa male, so biologically he is a good catch.

I have learned that I should always check with my partner before making or changing plans.

I do not experience jealousy, not even romantically (which I believe is the most common). It baffles my boyfriend to no end. I would happily be in an open relationship if it suited him as well (but it doesn't).

I think it would probably be helpful to have a definitive answer. Four possible outcomes (ranked roughly from best to worst): 1) He doesn't have autism, you don't go for diagnosis. No time wasted. 2) He does have autism, you go for a diagnosis, you have some answers, doors open, support can be prov...

Thank you for both of your replies. I wrote Asperger's/autism in the topic, as I know Asperger's is being phased out. I will also add that his IQ is above normal, estimated around 130, but due to language processing issues he is struggling academically (not receiving enough support with his learning).

I have taken all the available tests online and most suggest he could be on the spectrum, but I am still feeling uncertain. My family members say "no, definitively not" while some of my friends believe it could be helpful to have a definite answer. A few points to make in this regard: - He is eight ...

I do not understand why you would continuously shout out your own "funnies" if it was not received as you wished it to be.

I understand what you're saying, motley, but it does sound like that was a slightly different scenario, although your input is still helping me work through seeing this more clearly, so thank you. Let me clarify something that you've brought up. I won't take the blame for the problems our friendshi...

I have been in this man's shoes. I am female. My male friend would not respect my boundaries and my commitment to the romantic relationship I am in, so I eventually had to cut all contact. It was painful for me and even after the fact, he has not respected my wishes - so clearly it was the best deci...

I agree with several other responders. "I just want to love you" would be terribly confusing to me, it sounds like something that could be said in the middle of a heated argument. It almost reads accusatory. My partner had to "force" the 'I love you' out of me. It is a very difficult concept and I d...
