I don't think that's a stim. A stim is a response to strong feelings or emotions. It calms some sort of sensory system. Having multiple windows open is just having multiple windows open. Work, ideas that pop into your head, stuff you don't want to forget, etc.

I read both but I have trended to non-fiction in the last ten years or so because I can read that at a much slower pace with all the stuff I have going on. I like to read fiction like a good meal.

This could be a good or bad idea: Try writing down a list of your accomplishments And then write down things that the boss might tell you, you did wrong. And write a response to them. But sometimes it is not possible or reasonable to know how to justify your actions. Especially in real time. Precio...

I sense you will do all right in the review.

I wish you excellent luck.

Thank you for that. I am going to try and distract myself as much as I can. But, my stomach definitely is in flip-flops.

I have been at my job a very long time but the place where I work has recently begun to take seriously the employee yearly reviews. I normally scrape by with communication skills, initiative and teamwork usually bringing me down. As such my anxiety is through the roof for my review on Monday. I alwa...

I've been told many times im annoying and I personally, when I've analyzed the situation can recognize i am being annoying even.if unintentional. Doesn't mean that just because a negative quality is pointed out doesn't make it not true.

I like manual typewriters and old-time pedal sewing machine sounds. I think it does remind me of my childhood. That is pretty cool. I was raised hearing about older tech but not at a time when it was still used. Hah! I didn't use them myself. My grandma had one of the pedal types and my mother had ...

I have a problem with talking too loudly and interrupting. I have been working EXTREMELY hard at not interrupting. Trying to wait until someone has finished their sentence. Problem is once they are finished i have forgotten what I wanted to say. :(

I've been called selfish by so many people and I think that my having autism plays into that perception. First, not knowing social rules. So, in my mind if I ask you if you are hungry and you say no and I go to get something to eat then eat it, thats normal to me. But, NT's will say you didn't offer...

I'm clumsy but I have heard that doing body exercises such as martial arts help train the body and mind with spatial awareness. I used to do taekwondo and I don't bump myself half as much as I used to. I still get bumps but I know lots of people not on the spectrum who ALSO are clumsy.

I'm against any sort of censorship. If someone is shaming people because they are single or virgins then that's a horrible person but that is no worse than say criticizing people for other things. It is distasteful but certainly not criminal. That would be stepping into police-state territory. I als...
