Forum Postings NT: Becomes established in the web community so the words they type in a forum have more credibility. ASD: Post winded posts with low overall post count and then wonders why others did not view them as an "authority" on the subject matter. I'm having fun with you :) I fall into the AS...

I can empathize. My mother passed and my brother had POA over her very modest estate. We never were extremely close but we talked 4 or 5 times a year. Now he won't accept my calls or acknowledge I even exist. It still hurts no matter how old you get. This is sympathy; not empathy. If what the OP me...

Anything in excess can be bad. Being autistic makes us extreme people; meaning we have the propensity to desire a lot of anything we enjoy and none of the things we don't. I too had to break myself of alcohol and xanax years ago. Pot is fine in moderation, no more dangerous than chocolate in moderat...

So, if I understand Tallman correctly, maybe I was trying to be somewhat manipulative but failed when my guilt caused me to lash out at him? I absolutely meant him no harm and I was there for him and I was sincere in my advice to him. I really actually relate to what he's going through so it almost ...

Yup- I think it is because we can't avoid it when we are directly called out. As a child I even hated hearing myself say it. It's not that bad now. I made a career out of people needing me to fix their crap so I get called on all the time. It sux and I hate my job but I have a wife and kids to feed ...

Yes, we are the people that look like we don't care what you have to say lol. But seriously, I've wondered this myself. I am around a lot of autistics, enough to say I think so, but who knows.

That's 20 points higher than the old one on the aspie side. The NT side went down about 20 points though. I took the old version at least 10 times. I can't deny I'm autistic even if I wanted to. |

Well, I have uncontrolled meltdowns all the time. My aspergers son has meltdowns and when I tell him I'm going to video record him he stops. My HFA daughter has meltdowns all the time - bad ones - still tries to hit the floor and bang her head but her more mild meltdowns can be curtailed by threats ...

I feel like you guys are referring to scheming - plotting long term movements and forcing people to do certain things to get an outcome that benefits the schemer in the end. This is not what I'm talking about. Scheming is something that happens to me. I'm talking general short lived manipulation; li...

If he could do 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 then he could do what he loves without the pressure of money because 1 or 3 would pay the bills while number 2 gives him fulfillment and extra money. If it is artwork, I see no reason why he cannot do that any where and while having a full time job to rely on. Tell ...
