I know someone but I don't like to deal with her... I can try to summarize this without technical terms? The last joint of my index finger is broken, I made a splint for it so I can't bend it, and the second joint is stiff and randomly painful, the broken joint is painful sometimes, and there is sti...

I don't really feel like joining a new forum just to ask this question so I thought I'd ask here just in case anyone might be knowledgeable. I have a chip avulsion fracture of the dorsal base of the distal phalanx of the DIP joint in my left hands index finger (mallet finger, the last joint is broke...

I just talked to my mom about the vet/euthanasia and she said she wont pay for it.

We've asked around about someone to adopt her before she was sick but we couldn't find anyone. I suppose I could resort to Craigslist? Plea her case, maybe ask for donations or adoption?

So my parents have this cat. She's only 11 but I think she might have hyperthyroidism. Shes become very hyper, vocal, food obsessed but has been loosing weight and her hair is thinning out quite a bit. My parents don't want to spend a lot of money on her, and I don't really have any money to spend o...

If someone asks me what's wrong, and nothing is actually wrong, suddenly something is wrong because now I'm paranoid about my face and vibes. I try to tell people not to ask me that but they do anyway.... Better idea is to try to do something to get my mind focused on something else.

Reading this thread actually caused me some anxiety as I relived the way people treated me when I was in school... I have no real advice for you because I still haven't really come to terms with things like this that have happened to me, but things are much better now that I am no longer in school....

I do not have anything insomnia related, I'm actually quite good at sleeping and love dreaming. But latey I have been what I can only describe as being too lazy to go to sleep on time. I think it might have to do with feeling overwhelmed. I don't want I go to sleep because I feel like I have so much...

Honestly I'd recommend staying as a dental assistant. Most decent jobs out there are going to be fairly stressful (and I consider dental assistant to be a downright excellent job for someone in your position), it's just a personal question of whether the stress is too much for you to handle. What k...

If Asperger's is causing you less distress than bi-polar/depression, then the mood disorders are the ones to be focusing on! It doesn't, however, meant that the AS diagnosis is gone. There is a high coocurance rate between AS and mood disorders and the AS can affect mood in profound ways. In most w...

Therapists are there to help you with things that are a problem in your life. If your Aspergers symptoms don't cause any problems (or the problems are not as severe as the other things you've been discussing) in your life then it makes sense not to focus on them in a therapy session. Im not an exper...

I am wondering if maybe on some levels your therapist is right... Your first post didn't really give any empathy towards people who own the label of autism or Aspergers. That whole argument with her.... I am pretty sure there is a difference between knowing what someone is feeling and being able to...
