Hi! :D To get straight to it, there is a guy I have known for around four/five months at university. I like-like him (a lot) and want to tell him, mainly because I think it would be disingenuous to continue socializing (2/3 times a week at the moment) without letting him know. I do think- and severa...

I have had an appointment with a psychiatrist during which I was told that I was "most likely" suffering from bipolar 2. However, during this appointment I mentioned some of my concerns about paranoid thinking which I felt were ignored. Every year, I have a period of a few weeks during whi...

I spoke to this guy a few days ago and I thought he seemed very nice and I would possibly like to see him again. However, I would like to do this as subtly as is possible without seeming indifferent. I have spoken to many of my friends about this- unfortunately, most of them have social skills as ba...

I would, but I am afraid/ aware that I would be to anxious to. This is mainly due to being rejected in the past and not knowing why.

Hey. Basically, I want to know why (if anything is glaringly obvious, tell me) I am so unattractive to men. Physically, I don't think I'm that bad. I shower every day, wash my clothes (and dress in a fairly co-ordinated way), and spend a good amount of time on my hair and make up. I have been quite ...

How can I dress like everybody else? I am almost 20 and whenever I look at group photos, everybody else is dressed in a similar way to each other but there is something decidedly odd about my look. I just look frumpy in comparison. I have absolutely no idea- what do "normal" people my age ...

First. Did something happen in your childhood to trigger this? Did you come from a stable environment? Were you belittled, made to feel as though your reality wasn't the correct one with others like your parents insisting your version of events weren't accurate then they took that opportunity to in...

I experience it constantly during those times (and also outside of those times, to some degree). It gets worse when I'm outside of my home so I usually don't leave the house. Being in places other than home/ with people I don't know makes it significantly worse both at the time and after I get home.

If so you might need medicine,
(It's not part of autism)
It causes me problems during those three weeks or so but not outside of that time, no, although I do have a lot of anxiety about when it will start again. |

I am having a few problems and I don't know if they have anything to do with my Asperger's or if it is something else entirely. I don't want to go into detail, but essentially I have a lot of paranoid delusions coinciding with mood swings every few months, normally lasting around three weeks. I can'...

I can't begin to imagine why. As far as I am concerned, the second you decide to have a child, you accept any and all "problems" (and I am not saying that Down Syndrome is a problem, more the way people are treated because of it) that the child may have. They are still your child and you a...

I would really, really love it if there were a God- a personal one who cared deeply about every individual. However, I don't believe that there is. When I see all the suffering people are forced to go through- refugees, cancer patients, people who don't recover from mental illness- it seems more com...

I was diagnosed last August, just before starting university. Since then I have recognised that some aspects of my behaviour are directly connected to my Asperger's (e.g. mood swings, panic attacks/ anxiety, meltdowns) and mentioned this to my parents as a possible explanation for them, so that they...
