That being said, there's a bunch of yucky stuff down there like bacteria, insects and arsenic. |

No, but also think of how much less egalitarian societies were before guns. Uninventing guns wouldn't be a good thing to do. Yep, it's sort of like nuclear weapons, once the precedent has been set that something can be done, the time it takes to actually do decreases a lot. We could wink out of exi... |

The problem for me in that scenario was that I was so reclusive I didn't meet people who might have wanted to ask me out. I didn't go to parties or hang out with friends, and I didn't even work anymore. If someone tried to talk to me somewhere I often went mute. It's a miracle it finally worked for... |

I wonder how autistic men would feel if the tables were turned. What if it was culturally normal / expected for women to ask out men, and autistic men had to just sit there watching women choose their classmates, friends, colleagues, brothers, etc., but not them? I wonder if they would feel doubly ... |

At least I wouldn't be a virgin anymore. So? Why is that important? Oh, come on now. It's a valid question. I was 39 when I lost my virginity and I don't regret having waited so long. I'm still the same person, it's not like there's some sort of club that comes with losing your virginity or that th... |

Barring something pretty significant, I'd just take it at face value, Now, if this starts to become a regular thing, or if something out of the ordinary happened last time, I'd consider asking. |

The biggest thing is going to be the mirrors. If you're lucky, it's a recent enough van that it has a rearview camera. But, really, unless a vehicle is super large or has a weird number of wheels there's not that much difference. Just keep in mind that vans can be a bit more top heavy than some smal... |

A bit of people are afraid of making a direct move due to fear of rejection & social embarrassment. If someone is used to relying on flirting they would probably scratch a person off their list if they know directness is required. But in that case they are probably not compatible so it's not re... |

It’s not easy for women either. There are many different ways in which the early stages can be challenging for people. Definitely, I do think that it's a different set of problems, but definitely. Personally, I have up and just hired a matchmaker that matched me with a woman with clear autistic tra... |

The cutoffs are going to be inherently arbitrary. At 13, my dad could go into a liquor store and not get carded, so an adult or much older teen being attracted to him wouldn't have been abnormal at all because he was basically indistinguishable from an adult visually (tall guy with a full beard and... |

I have always been a bit strange. I came here because I found out that there was a condition called AS at the time that fit me VERY well. It was put in the DSM around 1980, and I had been tested for a time about 10 years before that. My mother told me shortly before she died at one point teachers c... |

I want nice things in general because I am trying to compensate for being an autistic loser. Everything is 3x harder for me to do. That’s why I want to surround myself with nice things to feel better about myself. That right there is the problem. None of materialistic stuff is going to fill that fe... |
