Well, it's not a crime. You've permitted the use of shared programs. Programs are virtual concepts, sharing them for free is like when you share a cook book with a friend. You suppressed the locks that permitted those corporations to make money on ideas, giving them to people who have money (inequality). Knowledge and Ideas are to be shared for humanity to progress, don't let money-hungry patent trolls and software company fool you : what you did is normal for someone living in a democracy.

I would rather think it's a good thing. But you can get sued for this, since their share-holders are always money-hungry and they never refuse a nice little court case to make some, considering they can afford good attorneys.

Yeah - I'd rather not go through 7 levels of phone tree hell just to report some random guy on the Internet who claims he violated some copyrights of a company that I couldn't care less about.

We all do dumb stuff when we're young. You're not any more special than anyone else on the Internet.
