I sometimes browse this site on my iPod Touch 5th Gen, and while my computer has an adblocker in both Firefox and Chrome, the iPod doesn't. If I zoom in to read the text on the page and zoom out again, the ad at the bottom of the page ends up floating up on the left, so I have like a Target ad floating in the upper left quadrant of my page. Does anyone else end up with this?

I did, and it was totally intolerable.

I use FoolDNS to block advertising and phising sites.

Settings > Wi-Fi > blue icon on the right of your hotspot

Change your DNS server to 87.118.111.215

Thank you for the tip, but unfortunately, I can't do that without Mom's permission, as it's her WiFi connection. And she doesn't exactly trust me to mess around with her internet stuff, so I'm just going to have to put up with the ads. I'll keep it in mind once I get my own connection. Thanks, though!

You don't change the DNS Settings at the router. You enter the DNS address for FoolDNS on your iPod Touch.

do you mean the login register box ? i think this website should have a dedicated app on the app store which would also attract more users to this site

No, that's not what I mean. I mean ACTUAL ads like Target Stores, Longhorn Steakhouse, Amazon Mobile, etc. They start at the bottom of the screen, the very bottom, and float up after I zoom out from zooming in to read text, often floating exactly where I want to tap.

If WP should get an app, it should have an "Ad Free" option. That would make using this site on my iPod so much easier.

My iPod isn't jailbroken. I don't want to do it, either. After all, a jail broken iPod collects malware.

I find it impossible too. When I scroll up and down the ad moves, then flips back a second later. Intolerable.

For some reason I don't see the adverts in Chrome on my android though. Perhaps you could install Chrome on your touch.

I second the above posters who told you to change your DNS settings on your iPod.

If I do it, will it just affect the iPod, or will it affect everyone? I'm sorry for asking, but I'm new to doing things like this.

Changing the DNS setting on a single device, like your iPod, will only affect your iPod, and nothing else.

Services like FoolDNS spoof DNS results for known advertising endpoints. When the browser goes to load ad content, it's pointed at a different server (or no server at all) and the ad content isn't loaded.
