Am I honestly the only person here who finds this interesting?

I would also have to think that this is a very interesting application environment. In fact, it becomes cooler, the more I think about it.

It makes me want to build one from the ground up (without using the Wii).

Perhaps after I have moved to Saskatoon...

But the fact that it can be done with something as simple as a Wii Remote and a couple infrared pointers makes it so practical to just pick up and start messing with. I believe that guy has that target demo software on his website. If you haven't looked into his stuff more, he's got some other cool wii remote projects too.
