Red Lights (2011) staring Robert DeNiro, Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy and Toby Jones. How do you make an awful movie with a cast like that? Well they found away. Has a horrible ending that makes no sense. Sadly another wtf did I just watch? experience.

That takes talent!

Stand By Me (1986). In this movie I learned that kids didn't have bicycles in 1959, and adult Wil Wheaton looks nothing like Richard Dreyfuss.

Riff Raff (2025)

Riff Raff Description: Hulu wrote:
Jennifer Coolidge and Ed Harris lead a stellar cast in this darkly comic crime-thriller about a quiet family weekend upended by unexpected visitors.

It is a bit of a spoiler.
Riff Raff Description: IMDB wrote:
A former criminal's ordinary life is turned upside down when his old family shows up for a long-awaited reunion.

I told Hulu I liked it, but I don't know if that's true. I did not dislike it.

The Salt Path. Quite enjoyable overall, mostly for the first two thirds. Then it drifted a bit.

Last night we watched:

Independence Day [1996]
<=>"We've always believed we weren't alone. On July 4th, we'll wish we were."

A really, really good science fiction movie! Recommended!

Sinners.

Two twin brother, African American Depression era gangsters, return home to Mississippi after spending years in Chicago, in order to start up a club for fellow African Americans with their ill gotten gains. Unknown to them, a vampire has also arrived, and is planning on crashing the grand opening in order to turn the customers and owners into vampires. Maybe the very first horror musical, complete with dance numbers, that I've ever seen!
First rate horror flick, and highly recommended.
