I love the Science Fiction and monster movies made in the 1950's because they are so bad they are good.

The older Gamera films weren't nearly as good as the Godzilla series, but they started to get a lot better in 1995. Have you seen Gamera: Guardian of the Universe? That's a REALLY good giant monster movie.

Whats not to like? a dino that is king of monsters. You can kill him all you want you just piss him off. I do not remember which one it was but godzilla powered up and was glowing red.

many thousands of years ago a band named blue oyster cult had a hit with a song named 'godzilla'. all about the big boy. if you're too young to have encountered it before, you need to locate it on the web and give it a listen.

I was an absolute Godzilla fan when I was a kid. So much so, my parents used to think that my obsession was somehow unhealthy. Well, Aspie obsessions may appear that way to the uninitiated; though being that my Dad almost certainly had Asperger's, too, you would have thought he'd understand.

I love Godzilla, and kaiju movies in general. One of my favorites is Godzilla vs. Megalon, because it's absurd in such a hilariously awesome way. Destroy All Monsters is lots of fun, with so many different monsters and a winding plot. I'm glad to see Final Wars being praised here; a lot of people hated that one but I thought it was great.

And yes, the 1998 Godzilla film was utter crap, and a travesty to the franchise.

The people who hate Final Wars are a loud minority of fanboys. It's an extremely entertaining film, and one of the few Godzilla films I would recommend for someone with little interest in kaiju films. Forgive the blasphemy, but it's far better (far less boring) than Destroy All Monsters. So many Godzilla films suffer when the monsters aren't on the screen, but Final Wars is a blast from start to finish.

I disagree, but you're entitled to your blasph... I mean... opinion about Destroy All Monsters, haha. I can see your point, though, that Final Wars has a lot of fast-paced action; more so than most of the others, and a different feel in general. The humanoid mutants are a crazy and interesting addition to the combat among monsters.

I love Destroy All Monsters once the action starts, but it's beyond dull when the monsters aren't on the screen. Final Wars also focuses more on the humans than the monsters, but it has the advantage of giving the humans action scenes of their own, and the aliens are incredibly fun to watch even when they're just talking.
