Margarita with a Straw

I highly recommend this one. A coming-of-age movie about a young Indian woman with cerebral palsy.

Long Legs.

One of my Christmas presents! A troubled young female FBI agent (possible Aspie?) is assigned to hunt down a serial killer who had been active for decades. She discovers she has a personal connection to the killer, as well as a supernatural element being present.
Very dark, very chilling horror movie.

I Tyrens tegn (In the Sign of Taurus) 1974 -- a cute Danish sex comedy

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071643/

Quote:

It's the summer of 1924, and Count von Lieberhaus, the town's benefactor for many years, has just kicked off, creating widespread concern among the local luminaries as to how the old boy chose to settle his estate. At the reading of his will, it turns out the lecherous old rogue has bequeathed his fortune to the first child born out of wedlock under the Sign of Taurus - 9 months and 14 days hence. Failing that, the estate will go to a home for homeless cats in Copenhagen, and the town's residents will be subject to taxation for the first time. This is a major dilemma for the self-righteous citizens, since there hasn't been an illegitimate birth in more than 30 years. How will they keep the Count's money - and preserve the illusion of moral rectitude?

Noah's Ark (1928)
Directed by Michael Curtiz
Hybrid silent/sound film, like The Jazz Singer, and also made by Warner Brothers.
Legendary for placing so many actors lives at risk during the flood scene. Bones were broken, possibly three extras drowned. I read that one of the actors had toenails ripped out by the force of the water. Stunt safety regulations were created a year later.

The plot is divided into modern times (briefly, the stock market crash), World War I (the Great War), and the story of Noah. The same actors play roles in the the WWI and Noah stories.

Noah's Ark | Full 1928 Feature Film | Warner Classics

Krampus.

In-laws who hate each other must stand together against the Anti-Christmas spirit.
Great Christmas horror film.

Mufasa. Wasn't as bad as I'd heard it was. The songs were weak sauce but the story was decent enough and the animation was actually very impressive.

Last night we finished watching:

Hogfather [2006]

Visually rich. Some incredibly good performances.

My bride thought it was wonderful.

Note: She's read Hogfather, the book the movie is based on—I have not.
